Answer:

The sources of protein in our diet are milk, cheese, fish, eggs, lettuce, black bean.

Explanation:

There are 6 types of nutrients present in our diets such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins,  fibers, and mineral salts, water.

The carbohydrates are the rich source of energy-giving foods. We get energy from the carbs. These are found in starchy foods like rice, potato, bread.

The protein is the bodybuilding nutrients present in our diet. This helps in wound healing, growth, and development. The protein-rich diets are milk, egg, lettuce, and black beans, fish.

The third type of nutrient is fats/lipids. This is found in oils and oil-rich foods. It stores in our body and gives energy when needed.

Another type of diet is fibers which are present in vegetables, tomatoes. It helps in maintaining weight and a healthy body.

How do cohesion and adhesion help water move up a plant
Ganezh [65]

Cohesion: When water molecules stick to one another through cohesion, they fill the column in the xylem and act as a huge single molecule of water (like water in a straw). Capillary action: Capillary action is the movement of a liquid across the surface of a solid caused by adhesion between the two.

How can competitive and noncompetitive inhibition be distinguished in terms of KM?
notsponge [240]

Answer:

The correct answer is option c. "The apparent value of KM increases with a competitive inhibitor, while it remains unchanged with a noncompetitive inhibitor".

Explanation:

The KM value in an enzymatic reaction is defined as the substrate concentration at which the half of the enzyme molecules are binding with the substrate. A way to distinguish between a competitive and noncompetitive inhibition is that the apparent value of KM increases with a competitive inhibitor, while it remains unchanged with a noncompetitive inhibitor. A competitive inhibitor would make that a higher concentration of substrate is needed, while a noncompetitive inhibitor does not change KM since the inhibitor binds to a site of the enzyme different from the active site.
