The motor driving a grinding wheel with a rotational inertia of 0.36 kg m2 is switched o? when the wheel has a rotational speed

of 25 rad/s. After 6.6 s, the wheel has slowed down to 20 rad/s. What is the absolute value of the constant torque exerted by friction to slow the wheel down? Answer in units of Nm.

Answer:

Torque will be 0.2727 N -m

Explanation:

We have given rotational inertia of the motor I=0.36kgm^2

Initial angular speed 25 rad/sec

Final angular speed = 20 rad/sec

Time to change in speed t = 6.6 sec

From first equation of motion \omega _f=\omega _i+\alpha t

20=25+\alpha \times 6.6

\alpha =-0.7575rad/sec^2

Now torque \tau =I\alpha =0.36\times 0.7575=0.2727N-m

PHYSICS HELP PLEASE!! MUST SHOW MATH WORK!!
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

1) Distance traveled by bird = 403 meter

2)Average speed = 1.66 km /hour

3) Zcceleration = 2 m/s^2

Explanation:

1)  Distance traveled = Speed * Time taken = 31 * 13 = 403 meter.

2) Average speed = Total distance covered / Time taken for that distance to cover.

    Total distance covered = 2+0.5+2.5 = 5 km

    Time taken = 3 hours

     Average speed = 5/3 = 1.66 km /hour

3) Acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity, so acceleration a = change in velocity/time.

  Change in velocity = 14 - 6 = 8 m/s

   Time = 4 seconds

   So acceleration = 8 / 4 = 2 m/s^2

Dimas [21]
As science being dynamic many things will change and due to this changes many things and theories will be new to us. the model of the atom is not weak, it is just developing as time progress because in the early times it is not fully understood because of the lack of technology to study, what scientist do is just filling the knowledge gap of the previous studies.
