The sum of the 3 interior angles of every triangle is 180 deg.

Thus, if two of the angles are 101 and 41 degrees (adding up to 142 degrees), then the third angle is 180 degrees less 142 degrees, or 38 degrees.

38 degree angle is INSIDE the triangle.  x is OUTSIDE.

38 + x form a straight angle.  Thus, x = 180 degrees - 38 degrees = 142 deg.

x = 142 degrees (answer)

Solve the following equation. Only enter the numeric answer (no variables). 30=2.5(10-2x)
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

x = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

30 = 2.5(10)(-2x)  - you multiply by each

30 = 25 - 5x        - then pass 25 to the other side and subract

5x = - 5x               - then divide 5 / -5

x = -1                     - and you have the answer

Which of the following statements are true about the equation below?
max2010maxim [7]
Given: x^2 - 6x + 2

Statements:

1) The graph of the quadratic equation has a minimum value:TRUE. WHEN THE COEFFICIENT OF X^2 IS POSITIVE THE PARABOLA OPEN UPWARDS AND ITS VERTEX IS THE MINIMUM.

2) The extreme value is at the point (3 , - 7): TRUE

You have to find the vertex of the parabola:

x^2- 6x + 2 = (x - 3)^2 - 9 + 2 = (x - 3)^2 - 7 => vertex = (3, -7)

3) The extreme value is at the point (7, -3): FALSE. THE RIGHT VALUE WAS FOUND IN THE PREVIOUS POINT.

4) The solutions are x = - 3 +/- √7. FALSE.

Solve the equation:

(x - 3)^2 - 7 = 0 => (x - 3)^2 = 7 => (x - 3) = +/- √7 => x = 3 +/- √7

5) The solutions are x = 3 +/- √7. TRUE (SEE THE SOLUTION ABOVE).

6) The graph of the quadratic equation has a maximum value: FALSE (SEE THE FIRST STATEMENT).
