x = 142

The sum of the 3 interior angles of every triangle is 180 deg.

Thus, if two of the angles are 101 and 41 degrees (adding up to 142 degrees), then the third angle is 180 degrees less 142 degrees, or 38 degrees.  

38 degree angle is INSIDE the triangle.  x is OUTSIDE.

38 + x form a straight angle.  Thus, x = 180 degrees - 38 degrees = 142 deg.

x = 142 degrees (answer)
