Within each layer temperature either goes up (in the stratosphere and thermosphere) or down (in the troposphere and mesosphere). Boundaries "pauses<span>" between layers are defined by where temperature stays about the same with height.

Hope this helps!

The amount of force needed to sustain motion of a rock in outer space is
BartSMP [9]

Answer:

0 N

Explanation:

According to Newton's first law, object subjected to no force or 0 net force will stay in the same motion. In outer space, there's no gravity or air resistance. So if the net force is 0, a rock in motion would be still in motion forever without a need of an extra force to sustain it.

If a woman runs 100 meters north and then 70 meters south, what is her total displacement?
Burka [1]
Displacement is the distance between the starting and ending points, in the direction from the starting point to the ending point, all regardless of the route followed from the starting point to the end point.

The woman's displacement is therefore 30 meters north.

George walks to a friend's house. He walks 750 meters North, then realizes he walked
Sauron [17]

Answer:

I think you are looking for the velocity, so the answer is 38.5 m/s

Explanation:

Velocity is giving by displacement/time. North will be positive and South will be negative, George travels 750 meters then travels -250 meters his displacement is then 750 - 250 or 500 meters. Divide that by 13 seconds to get 38.5 m/s.
