Try calculating each of these yourself:

First, 34(58 + 9) = 34(67) = 2278

A. 34 x 67 = 2278

B. 58(34 + 9) = 58(43) = 2494

C. 34 x 58 + 34 x 9 = 34 x (58 + 9) = 34 * 67 = 2278

D. 1,972

So the answer is B and D are not equal to 34(58 + 9).

Hope I helped! If you need anything else just ask!

How do you find the median of 15,8,19,21,18,17 ? Thanks
KengaRu [80]

Answer:

median = 17.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The median is the middle value of a data set arranged in ascending order. If there is not a middle value then the median is the average value of the numbers either side of the middle.

Data in ascending order is

8, 15, 17, 18, 19, 21

The median is between 17 and 18, hence

median = \frac{17+18}{2} = 17.5

All sides of a square and a pentagon are 9 inches long. Are their perimeters the same? Explain
EastWind [94]

No they wouldn't be the same because, the perimeter is adding all sides.

The square has 4 sides so you would add 9, four times.

9 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 36

And a pentagon has 5 sides so you would add 9, five times.

9 + 9 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 45

So, they are not the same.

Hope this helps. :)

Two different families pay for entry into a water park.
icang [17]

Answer:

Adult ticket: $7

Child ticket: $2

Step-by-step explanation:

Set up a system of equations where a represents the cost of one adult ticket and c is the cost of one child ticket:

2a + 3c = 20

a + 4c = 15

Solve by elimination by multiplying the bottom equation by -2:

2a + 3c = 20

-2a -8c = -30

Add them together:

-5c = -10

c = 2

Now, we can plug in 2 as c to find the value of a:

2a + 3c = 20

2a + 3(2) = 20

2a + 6 = 20

2a = 14

a = 7

13+x+195=13(x+15)...
LUCKY_DIMON [66]
First, let's expand the right side. Now our equation is

13+x+195=13x+195

Now, we gather all the terms with x in it on the left side, and the numbers without x on the right. We get:

-12x=-13

And then we can make this

12x=13

We divide both sides by 12 to get x on its own, so x = 13/12 or 1.08
