S=2\pi r^2+2\pi rh

We need to solve for h. It means we need to get 'h' alone

First we subtract 2\pi r^2 on both sides

S - 2\pi r^2=2\pi r^2- 2\pi r^2+2\pi rh

S - 2\pi r^2=2\pi rh

Now we divide by  2\pi r on both sides

\frac{S - 2\pi r^2}{2\pi r} = \frac{2\pi rh}{2\pi r}

\frac{S - 2\pi r^2}{2\pi r} =h

We got h alone. Solved for h

h=\frac{S - 2\pi r^2}{2\pi r}

Jonathan wants to buy a lid for his frying pan. The diameter of the pan is 10 inches. What is the approximate circumference Of a
mihalych1998 [28]

Answer: 31.42 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the circumference of a circle equation is C = πd (also C = 2πr, in which 2*r = d), you can just substitute d = 10.

Then you get C = π*10 ≈ 31.42 inches.

2(vh)/k=r Solve equation for v in terms of all other variables involved
aivan3 [116]

The equation v in terms of other variables is v = kr/2h

<h3>What is the subject of an equation?</h3>

It is a variable which is expressed in terms of other variables involved in the formula.

Formulas are written so that a single variable, the subject of the formula is on the L.H.S. of the equation. Everything else goes on the right side of the equation. We evaluate the formula by substituting for the literal numbers on the right hand side.

2(vh) / k = r

by cross multiplication

2(vh) = kr

divide both sides by 2h

v = kr/2h

In conclusion, v in terms of other variables is  kr/2h

Which equation with exponential expression are true?
Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer:B and E

It is B and E because it’s exponent matches the equation. In B, there are 2 fives and the exponential form shows 5 to the power of 2. In E, there are 6 sevens and the exponential form shows 7 to the power of 6.

To find the quotient 4 divided1/5 multiply 4 by
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

When dividing numbers by fractions, we can simply multiply the  umber by the reciprocal of the decimal. So,

4 ÷ 1/5 = 4 × (reciprocal of 1/5)

A reciprocal of a number is the same number written under 1. aka, 1 divided by that number, which simply is flipping the numerator and denominator of a number.

So the reciprocal of 1/5 is 5/1 = 5.

So 4 ÷ 1/5 = 4 × 5.

So your answer is 5.
