Matter is made up of particles that are constantly moving . all particles have energy , but energy varies depend on temperature there are three  states of matter solid , liquid , gas . the solid particle has least amount of energy and gaseous particle has high amount of energy . the temperature of substance is measure of average kinetic energy and change of phase occur when energy of particle has changed . there are spaces between particles , the average amount of empty space is in between molecules get progressively larger as sample of particle moves from solid to gas phase . these atrractive force between particles become stronger when particles are close to each other these attractive forces are called inter molecular forces.
for example :- WATER
when water is in solid phase ( ice ) water molecules have little energy it does not move away from each other the molecules held closely together called lattice.  when ice heated , the energy in molecules increase , then some of water molecules able to overcome inter molecular forces that hold them together and molecules moves part in liquid phase and easily flow . if it is reheated liquid become water vapour which is gas . Gas particles has most energy and are on average at distances from each other which are much larger than size of atoms itself

1. Naturally occurring europium (Eu) consists of two isotopes was a mass of 151 and 153. Europium- 151 has an abundance of 48.03
sergejj [24]
The atomic mass of Europium is 152 amu

Work:
151(0.4803) = 72.52 amu
153(0.5197) = 79.5 amu
72.5 + 79.5 = 152 amu

Natural gas is a mixture of many substances, primarily CH₄, C₂H₆, C3H8, and C4₄H₁₀. assuming that the total pressure of the gase
olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

A. The partial pressure for CH4 = 0.0925atm

B. The partial pressure for C2H6 = 0.925atm

C. The partial pressure for C3H8 = 0.346atm

D. The partial pressure for C4H10 = 0.115atm

Explanation:

Total pressure = 1.48atm

Total mole = 0.4+4+1.5+0.5=6.4

A. Mole fraction of CH4 = 0.4/6.4 = 0.0625

The partial pressure for CH4 = 0.0625 x 1.48 = 0.0925atm

B. Mole fraction of C2H6 = 4/6.4 = 0.625

The partial pressure for C2H6 = 0.625 x 1.48 = 0.925atm

C. Mole fraction of C3H8 = 1.5/6.4 = 0.234

The partial pressure for C3H8 = 0.234 x 1.48 = 0.346atm

D. Mole fraction of C4H10 = 0.5/6.4 = 0.078

The partial pressure for C4H10 = 0.078 x 1.48 = 0.115atm
