Scientists use the formula to calculate the speed (s) 9.8d of the tsunami (in meters per second ) based on the depth (d) of the

ocean (in meters). The 9.8 refers to the acceleration of the tsunami due to gravity, in meters per second squared. What is the depth of the ocean (to the nearest meter) if the tsunami is moving at a speed of 320 meters per second?

Speed of tsunami = sqrt (9.8d) m/s where d is the depth of the ocean.

Given speed of tsunami to be 320 m/s, depth of the ocean is calculated as follows:

320=sqrt (9.8d) => 320^2 = 9.8d => d= (320^2)/9.8 = 10448.98 m
To nearest meter, d=10449 m

The frequency of the musical note C4 is about 261.63 Hz. What is the frequency of the note a perfect fifth below C4?
kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

The frequency of the note a perfect fifth below C4 is;

B- 174.42 Hz

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we note that to get the "perfect fifth" of a musical note  we have to play a not that is either 1.5 above or 1.5 below the note to which we reference. Therefore to get the frequency of the note a perfect fifth below C4 which is about 261.63 Hz, we have

1.5 × Frequency of note Y = Frequency of C4

1.5 × Y = 261.63

Therefore, Y = 261.63/1.5 = 174.42 Hz.
