If you find the difference between 3 and 1 you would get 2 and then if you found the difference of 7 and 3 you would get 4. So basically the difference of the numbers is doubling. Hope this helps!

If you find the difference between the numbers you'll see that if you add 2, 4, 8, 16,... you'll get that sequence!

E. g.
1 + 2 = 3
3 + 4 = 7
7 + 8 = 15

So I'll predict that to gt the next nunber, you'll need to add this to current number:

{2}^{n}
Where n is just the position of the current number (1st, 2nd, 3rd). So the number after 31 should be:

31 + {2}^{5} = 63

And the number after 63 should be:

63 + {2}^{6} = 127

Now you try the last one! You can comment the answer and I'll check if it's right.

A person x inches tall has a pulse rate of y beats per minute, as given approximately by yequals600 x Superscript negative 1 di
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

a) 5.13beats/min

b) 2.82 beats/min

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the pulse rate of a person modelled by the equation y = 600x^-1/3 for 30≤x≤75

If the height is 39inches, the instantaneous rate of change of pulse rate for the heights will be expressed as;

y = 600(39)^-1/3

y = {600(1/39)}/3

y = 600/39×3

y = 600/117

y ≈ 5.13beats/min

The instantaneous rate for a 39 inches tall person is 5.13 beats per min

b) For a 71inches tall person, the beat rate will be expressed as;

y = 600(71)^-1/3

y = {600(1/71)}/3

y = 600/71×3

y = 600/213

y ≈ 2.82 beats per minute

The instantaneous rate for a 71 inches tall person is 2.82 beats per min
