Rutherford's experiment showed that Atoms have protons in the nucleus. The reason is because his alpha particles (two protons & two neutrons with no electrons), when striking an atom, either went straight through, or bounced off at a large angle.

When finding this, I believe your answer would be D, the last one.

Answer: Option (a) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

J.J. Thompson had discovered that there are positive and negative charges present inside an atom. But he did not mentioned where exactly these charges are located inside the atom.

So, later of Rutherford discovered that there is a small dense mass present inside an atom that is called nucleus. And, inside the nucleus there were protons and neutrons. Electrons were orbiting around the nucleus of an atom.

Hence, we can conclude that J.J. Thompson's Plum Pudding model had to be revised because experimental evidence showed that there was a small, dense area within the atom.

Scientists are able to detect an El Niño event and its effects on the climate through a variety of technological and natural sciences. One of these natural sciences is dendrochronology, or the study of tree rings. Dendrochronologists study the rings of a tree in order to understand climatic conditions during specific time periods. Thin rings often indicate drier seasons while fatter rings indicate rainy seasons. Depending on where the tree is, scientists can see past El Niño events in trees that exhibit signs of much rainier or drier seasons that normal.

The formation of tert-butanol is described by the following chemical equation:
fomenos

Answer:

Second step

(CH3)3C+ (aq) + OH^-(aq) ------->(CH3)3COH(aq)

Explanation:

This reaction involves;

First the ionization of the tertiary halide to firm a carbocation

Secondly the attack of the hydroxide ion on the carbocation to form tert-butanol

First step;

(CH3)3CBr (aq) → (CH3)3C+ (aq) + Br- (aq)

Second step

(CH3)3C+ (aq) + OH^-(aq) ------->(CH3)3COH(aq)

This second step completes the reaction mechanism.
