In sports, you put your body into so much action and your body uses up so much oxygen. As a result, more of the blood are circulated back to the heart to be oxygenated back again. Thus, playing sports improves your cardiovascular system. Moreover, your metabolism also increases. This includes the production of your hormones that are the main cause of emotions. Specific hormones are secreted that give a feeling of calmness and satisfaction. Over time, your body would be more synchronized and you will have better sleep.

A 50-yr-old man who weighs 193 lb (87.5 kg) and has a resting heart rate (HR) of 70 beats · min-1 wants you to help him calculat
kotykmax [81]

Answer: option d= 130 - 150.

Explanation:

From the question, we are given that the man's age= 50, the man weighs= 193 lb (87.5 kg) and the 50 years old man's resting heart rate= 70 beats · min-1. Then, I am asked to calculate the man's target heart rate (THR) zone for 60% to 80%.

Using the Karvonen (HRR) method to calculate the fifty(50) years old man's target heart rate (THR) zone for 60% to 80%, we will need the man's age for this Calculation and the man's resting heart rate (HR).

Important information to note that is not given from the question is that the 50 years old man's estimated maximum heart rate is (220 - 50) = 170.

Step one: Using the formula; maximum heart rate - man's age × zone Percent. --------------------------(1).

Step two: equation (1) + resting heart rate (HR). -------------------------(2).

For the 60 percent = 0.6.

==>( 170 - 70) × .6 = 60.

Then, 60 + 70 = 130.

For the 80 percent= 0.8;

==> (170 - 70) × .8 = 80.

Then, 80 + 70 = 150.
