Y2-y1/x2-x1 is the formula so lets say -4=x1 0=y1 and 2=x2 0=y2. 0-0/2-(-4) = 0/6

Hello!

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope: \frac{Y^2-Y^1}{X^2-X^1}=\frac{rise}{run}

\frac{0-0=0}{2-(-4)=2+4=6}=\frac{0}{6}=\frac{0/0}{6/0}=0

<u><em>There are no slope.</em></u>

<u><em>Undefined.</em></u>

<u><em>Answer is 0.</em></u>

Hope this helps!

Thanks!

If f(x) = x2 – 3x – 40 intersects the x-axis at points A and B, what is the sum of A and B?
Eduardwww [97]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

Intersections on the x axis occur when y = 0. f(x) is another term for y, so set f(x) equal to zero and solve for the two possible x's.

0 = x^2 - 3x - 40

0 = (x-8)(x+5)

By solving for x, you get 8 and -5. 8 and -5 added together will equal 3.

The cookies because if they have 100°C, after 30 seconds it loses half it‘s heat and now it only has 50°C.
After the next 30 seconds it loses again half the heat so it‘s 25°C.

You can theoretically continue this forever. It‘s exponential decay.

1. 5-25=3x-4 => -20=3x-4 => -16=3x => x= -16/3
2. 1-2x=3-2x-2 => 1=3-2 => 1=1 => x=R

I Need Help On This Question PLZ!!!

Answer:

a. d=2.0t

b. 26 meters

c. picture attached

Step-by-step explanation:

- Since the turtle travels 2.0 meters per minute, it will travel a total distance of 2.0t in t minutes. We know that the total distance is d, so we can equate both total distances to create our rule:

d=2.0t

- To find the distance of the turtle after 13 minutes we just need to replace t with 13 in our rule:

d=2.0t

d=2.0(13)

d=26

The turtle cover a distance of 26 meters after 13 minutes.

- To graph the function we are going to evaluate our function at two points, and then we are joining those two points with a line (check the attached picture)

We already know that the turtle cover a distance of 26 meters after 13 minutes, since the distance depends on the time our point will have coordinates (time, distance) (13 minutes, 26 meters) (13, 26)

Notice that when time is zero, distance is zero as well, so our second point is (0, 0)

Now we can join the points using a line:
