8 1/6 - 3 5/6

Transfer one of the wholes to 1/6

(add 6 fractions parts to one fraction part (the numerator of 8 1/6, change the 8 wholes to 7)

The result of the new fractions are:

7 7/6 - 3 5/6 = 4 2/6

With renaming do you mean turn it into a improper fraction or simplify? (I’ll do both)

Improper Fraction:
26/6

Simplify:
For the fraction (don’t include whole number to simplify)
Divide numerator and denominator by two
You get 1/3 (divide by two because numbers are even)
(4 1/3)

Prove that 3 power p + 1 - 3 power P upon 2 multiply 3 power p is equal to 1
Anit [1.1K]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

note that 3^{p+1} = 3^{p} × 3 ( when multiplying exponents are added )

Given

\frac{3^{p+1}-3^{p}  }{2.3^{p} } ← factor out 3^{p} on numerator

= \frac{3^{p}(3-1) }{2.3^{p} }

= \frac{2.3^{p} }{2.3^{p} }

= 1

The volume of this sphere is 904.32 cubic inches. What is the surface area of this sphere?
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

A = 4 pi R^2     V = 4/3 pi R^3

A / V = 3 / R

Also, R = (3 * V / 4 * pi)^1/3 = (3 * 904.32 / (4 * pi))^1/3 = 6 in

So A = 3 / 6 * V = 1/2 * 904.32 = 452.16 in^2
