Let the youngest sister be n years
Lana will be 2n years, as her youngest sister is half her age
The age of the twins separately will be 2n-2 as they are 2 years younger than Lana
So, the equation looks like this:
n + 2n + 2(2n-2) = 45
Now solve for n:
3n + 4n - 4 = 45
7n - 4 = 45
7n = 49
n = 7
So the youngest sister is 7, Lana is 14 and the twins are 12. 14 + 12 + 12 + 7 =45

6 (2 -6v)>-96 pls hurry
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

6(2-6v)>96

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1: distributive property

12-36v>-96

step 2: add like terms

12-36v>-96

(subtract 12 from both sides.)

-36v>-96-12

-36>-108

step 3: divide by coefficient which is -36

-36v/-36>-108/-36

v<3

(sign flips bc u r dividing by negative.)

Hope this helps   :)

I need to know how to work following problem: union motion- A small airplane approaches a runway at a speed of 90 miles per hour
alex41 [277]
First lets convert everything to feet, and feet/min

1/2 mile = 5280/2 = 2640 feet
90 mi/hr = (90)(5280)/(60) = 7920 ft/min

Next lets find total distance plane is away from runway.
Set up right triangle where total distance is hypotenuse.
d = \sqrt{200^2 + 2640^2} = 2647.5649

Next we will use a little trig. Let theta be the angle of elevation from runway to the plane. The rate of descent is the vertical component of the planes speed. Find vertical component using sine.
\frac{dy}{dt} = 7920 sin \theta

Finally substitute ratio from right triangle for sin theta.
\frac{dy}{dt} = 7920 (\frac{200}{2647.5649}) = 598.286

The rate of descent is about 598 feet per minute.
