According to the map, the most active earthquake zone and those in dark shaded areas show phenomena other than earthquakes are the formation of Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Wildfire, and other minor geohazards.
The place shown on the world map is home to various natural calamities and hence shows hurricanes and southern oscillation systems around the Americas, flooding and Tsunamis in the lands that border the coastal plains, like japan, and Indonesia, and even Wildfires as in the case of California.
Another geologic event that may occur in the dark shaded area on the map is wildfire. The dark shaded area as shown in the map, is an area more commonly known as "The Ring of Fire". Volcanic activity is very common in this area, due to to the many volcanos present.
