Answer: B) The kinetic energy is increases proportional to the mass of the bowling ball.

Explanation: Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by an object by virtue of its motion.

Kinetic energy is calculated by the formula:

K.E=\frac{1mv^2}{2}

K.E= Kinetic energy

m= mass of object

v = velocity of object

As Kinetic energy is directly proportional to the mass of the object, Kinetic energy increases as the mass of the object increases.

Kinetic energy increases proportional to the square of the velocity.

What effect does the removal of vegetation have on soil ?
Strike441 [17]
Hello!

The removal of vegetation causes the desertification and erosion of soil. The roots of the plants that are inside the soil create a sort of net that prevents the material to be dragged by the water from the rain. They also absorb any excess water that can weaken the soil structure. If vegetation is removed from the soil, the nutrients can be dragged by water currents and slowly the desertification will occur.

A satellite orbits Earth. The only force on the satellite is the gravitational force exerted by Earth. How does the satellite’s
bulgar [2K]

Answer:

here we can say that acceleration of the satellite is same as the gravitational field due to Earth at that location

Explanation:

As we know that gravitational field is defined as the force experienced by the satellite per unit of mass

so we will have

E = \frac{F}{m}

now in order to find the acceleration of the satellite we know by Newton's II law

F = ma

so we will have

a = \frac{F}{m}

so here we can say that acceleration of the satellite is same as the gravitational field due to Earth at that location

Answer:

Option C

Maximum potential energy is at point R.

Explanation:

Potential energy is a product of mass, acceleration due to gravity and height ie

PE=mgh where PE is the potential energy, m is mass of an object, g is acceleration due to gravity whose value is normally taken as 9.81 and h is height. Since at point R we have the maximum height, the potential energy will be highest at this point.
