We have that
-7x-60=x²<span>+10x
</span>x²+10x+7x=-60
x²+17x=-60
(x²+17x+8.5²)=-60+8.5²
(x+8.5)²=12.25
(+/-)(x+8.5)=√12.25--------> (+/-)(x+8.5)=3.5
(+)(x+8.5)=3.5------> x=-5
(-)(x+8.5)=3.5------> x=-12

therefore
(x+5)*(x+12) is equivalent to -------> -7x-60=x²+10x

the answer is
(x+5)*(x+12)

How do you get the equation to <br><br> 6x+12=2(×+12)
DedPeter [7]

Answer:

x = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Simplify 2(x+12)

6x+12=2x+24

Move all terms containing x to the left side of the equation. 4 x + 12 = 24

Move all terms not containing x to the right side of the equation. 4 x = 12

Divide each term by 4 and simplify.  x = 3

a ferry is traveling at a constant speed back to the dock, as shown in the graph. which function represents the relationship bet
horsena [70]

Answer: y = -35x + 105

Step-by-step explanation:

The graph represents a function that is between hours and miles and to determine the equation which belong to this graph, we need to find the slope first by using two points from the graph which are (0, 105) and (3, 0).

The definition of slope is

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

= (0-105)/3-0

= -105/3

= -35

The slope is -35 and remember that the slope is the coefficient of the variable x. Therefore, the answer is:

y = -35x + 105

Two-fifths of the girls signed up to play softball. An equal number of girls signed up to play pitcher, infield, and outfield. W
Natali [406]
Okay so lets look at this.

So we have 5/5 girls.

2/5 of them are playing softball.  An equal number of girls signed up to play pitcher, infield, and outfield.  This means that each one is 1/3.

So out of 2/5 of the girls, there is 1/3 of the 2/5 that signed up to play outfield.

The answer can be solved with multiplication of fractions.

2/5 * 1/3 is 2/15.  So 2/15 of the girls in the school signed up to play outfield.

Answer: 2/15 or 0.133
