Answer: 10

Explanation:

"percent" means "per one hundred". Think "cent" as in "100 cents in a dollar". That's one way to remember.

So when we say something like 2%, we mean 2 out of 100 leading to the fraction 2/100 = 0.02

The same applies for 4.8% turning into 4.8/100 = 0.048

A quick shortcut without the use of a calculator has us move the decimal point 2 spots to the left to go from 4.8% to 0.048

-------------

After converting 4.8% to 0.048, we then multiply this by 200

200*(0.048) = 9.6

this value rounds to 10 which is the answer

telo118 [61]

Answer:

The answer is 844,000

Step-by-step explanation:

to make it easier you can break the 800,000 into 8 100,000 pieces, 8% of 100,000 is 8,000, 8,000 times 8 is 44,000 and now just add 800,000 and 44,000.

bija089 [108]

28. -1/3=r-3/4

Move -3/4 to the other side. Sign changes from -3/4 to +3/4

-1/3+ 3/4=r-3/4+3/4

-1/3+3/4=r

Find the common denominator for both of the fractions which is 12. Multiply by 4 for -1/3. Multiply by 3 for 3/4.

-1/3(4)+3/4(3)= -4/12+9/12= 5/12

33. -5/6+c=-11/12

c=-11/12+5/6

Find the common denominator which is 12 for 5/6. Multiply by 2. 5*2=10, 6*2=12

c=-11/12+10/12=-1/12

34. s-1/9=5/18

s-1/9+1/9=5/18+1/9

Find the common denominator which is 18. Mutiply by 2 for 1/9 . 1*2=2, 9*2=18

s=5/18+2/18=7/18

Answers:

28. 5/12

33. -1/12
