Answer:

Marigold should report an inventory amount of $265,000.

Explanation:

The term FOB (Free On Board) describes at what point the ownership of goods is transferred from the seller to the buyer. In case of FOB shipping point, the ownership of the goods is transferred to the buyer once the goods are shipped for transit. In case of FOB destination, the ownership of the goods is transferred to the buyer once the goods are received by the buyer.

Therefore, the goods in transit purchased by Marigold on FOB shipping point basis should be added to its inventory. The goods in transit sold by Marigold on FOB destination are also currently owned by Marigold so they shall also be added to its inventory.

The inventory amount to be reported by Marigold is computed as follows.

Physical inventory in hand $209,500

Add: Purchases on FOB shipping point basis $28,000

Add: Cost of goods sold on FOB destination basis $27,500

Inventory amount to be reported $265,000

The Median is the middle value.

Arrange the numbers in order from smallest to largest:

Seattle: 23.78 , 32.46, 40.30, 45.79, 49.42, 55.14

Since there is an even number, the median is found by adding the 2 middle numbers and dividing by 2.

Median for Seattle: 40.30 + 45.79 = 86.09 / 2 = 43.045

Now do the same for Las Vegas:

2.33, 3.72, 3.84, 4.11, 5.62, 8.79

Median for Las Vegas: 3.84 + 4.11 = 7.95 / 2 = 3.975

Difference: 43.045 - 3.975 = 39.07

Zalma’s stock investment in March was $120. In October, it was $400.
Goryan [66]

Answer:

In December, Zalma will have $480.

Step-by-step explanation:

The time from March to October is 7 months. In those 7 months, she gains $280. So every month, her investment gains $40.

The time from March to December is 9 months. She will gain $360 during that time. We add her initial $120 with the $360, and Zalma will have $480.

It's not confirmed, but it's what I got. :D
