Selection (D) is the most correct. The Declaration, with its calls for independent governance, gave the impetus for other countries to question whether or not their own governments were legitimately derived. Many countries found this not to be the case and set about creating their own governments that were centered on their own people, instead of being centered on faraway kingdoms.

mylen [45]

A limitation on the president’s power to appoint ambassadors is that the Senate must approve them.

Explanation:

The appointment of heads of departments, not being within the Constitution, has been controlled since the start of the government to come back below the supply as yet quoted, and to be subject to confirmation by the Senate. During early administrations, approval of President's cabinet appointments by the Senate was considered a basic formality.

Which side seemed stronger at the beginning of the Civil War?
natita [175]

The correct answer is:

North because its government had been in power longer

Explanation:

With Lincoln's election in 1861, Southern states believed they were no longer represented in the federal government, so they started to secede from the Union, forming the Confederate States of America and naming Jefferson Davis as President.

The North seemed stronger at the beginning of the Civil War (and it turned out it was) because the Union had been in power longer, and President Lincoln was the official President to the entire world, even though the South tried to win support from European countries. The federal government had power over the army and had naval power to block Southern ports and their economy.

The North also seemed stronger because of their bigger population and advanced industries.

Was John Brown justified in his violence in the name of abolition? Why or why not?
jeka94

Answer:

John Brown was not justified in his violence in the name of abolition.

Explanation:

The reason for this is that it was murder. It was amazing that he had such strong beliefs but terrorist have strong beliefs. They kill to get their point across however it is MURDER. Innocent lives and families where destroyed because of his ignorance and need to prove a point. John Brown could have taken different actions instead he killed people. This was not justified no matter his situation of slavery.

Brown was courageous and brave but certainly not honorable. Instead he was a coward because he brutally murdered people who disagreed with him and his point of views.

What does the colonists' selling the defeated survivors of the Pequot Wars into slavery illustrate about their relationship with
daser333 [38]

Answer:

They treated land and American Indians as their property. Also, they had a hostile relationship with the American Indians.

Explanation:

The tensions between the American Indians and the English Colonists was caused due to their choice of trade sources. While the English people traded with the Narragansetts and Mohegans, the Pequot tribe traded with the Dutch. The Pequot tribe began the targeted extermination of some colonists such as John Stone and his seven companions, as well as John Oldham.

The English colonists repaid the attacks with a very intensive and sudden attack in 1637 that completely exterminated the vast majority of the Pequot tribe. The few survivors were sold off as slaves.
