3.65 is less than 3\frac{3}{4}

First, you must change the mixed number into a decimal so you can compare the two numbers.

3\frac{3}{4} = 3.75

Then, you must compare the terms.

3.65 < 3.75

3.65 is less than 3\frac{3}{4}

At a company picnic, 1/2 of the people are employees 2/5 are employees' spouses. What percent are neither?
victus00 [196]
First, you want to find a common denominator. The easiest way to do this is to multiple the two denominators together. A common denominator between these two fractions is 10. Two fifths times 2 is 4/10. 1/2 times 5 is 5/10. Add these two fractions together. 4/10+5/10= 9/10. That means 9/10 of the people are employees or their spouses. Now, 10/10 is one whole. You want to subtract 10/10-9/10. Your answer would be 1/10 of the people are now. Now to get your answer to a percent you have to divide 1 by 10. By doing this you get 0.1. Move the decimal 2 places to the right to get 10% of people are not an employee or spouse. Hope this helped!

Suppose you have a complete, weighted graph with 8 vertices. How many Hamilton Circuits are there in this graph?
Natali5045456 [20]

The number of Hamilton Circuits with 8 vertices are 5040.

Given that, a complete, weighted graph with 8 vertices.

What are Hamilton Circuits?

A Hamiltonian circuit is a circuit that visits every vertex once with no repeats. Being a circuit, it must start and end at the same vertex. A Hamiltonian path also visits every vertex once with no repeats, but does not have to start and end at the same vertex.

For N vertices in a complete graph, there will be (n−1)!=(n−1)(n−2)(n−3)…3⋅2⋅1 routes. Half of these are duplicates in reverse order, so there are (n−1)!/2 unique circuits.

A complete graph with 8 vertices would have = 5040 possible Hamiltonian circuits. Half of the circuits are duplicates of other circuits but in reverse order, leaving 2520 unique routes.

Therefore, the number of Hamilton Circuits with 8 vertices are 5040.
