BAC stands for Blood alcohol content, it is the amount of alcohol present in the bloodstream or in one's breath. It can be expressed as the weight of ethanol(in grams) in 100 ml of blood.
The blood alcohol content is measured by breathing into a breathalyzer. It finds out the concentration of alcohol in the breath. In most of the states, the legally defined BAC level is 0.08%.
