I'm going to split it into Two shapes a triangle and a rectangle. First we'll do the rectangle. You do V=bwh, you plug in the numbers. V=(6)(10)(2) the volume of the rectangle would be 420. Then do the Triangle portion. V=1/2(bwh). to get the base you would do 5-2=3 and then multiply the base the height and the width by each other. To get (3)(10)(6)=180. Then you divide it by 2 to get 90. Finally you add it all together to get 510 feet squared as your final answer.

A plastic box has the dimensions shown.
barxatty [35]

Answer:

960cm³ (D)

Step-by-step explanation:

A plastic box is in form of a cuboid.

The volume of a cuboid = Length × Breadth × Height

Given the dimension 15cm by 8cm by 8cm

Length = 15cm

Breadth = 8cm

Height = 8cm

Volume of the plastic box = 15×8×8

= 960cm³ D

Jermaine has a mailing cylinder for posters that measures 18 inches long and 6 inches in diameter. What volume can it hold? Use
worty [1.4K]

Answer:

The cylinder can hold 508.68 in³

Explanation:

The volume of a cylinder can be calculated using the following rule:

Volume of cylinder = πr²h cubic units

where r is the radius of the cylinder and h is its height

Now, we are given that:

height of cylinder = 18 in

diameter of cylinder = 6 in which means that the radius of the cylinder is 3 in

π is 3.14

Substitute with the givens in the above equation to get the volume of the cylinder as follows:

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

Volume of cylinder = 3.14 * (3)² * 18

Volume of cylinder = 508.68 in³

Hope this helps :)
