I can conclude that the other colonies wanted to help. They had saw that Boston needed help such as food and supplies like you said and they gave them it. With the closing of the port, it was very hard for them to receive these items by trade with other nations/colonies. (By sea I mean) Therefore, someone had to step in. I can also see that they are better people than the ones in our society today. Many have an all men for themselves policy. A minimal amount of people help those who are in trouble nowadays. (Ex: the homeless, they always need food, water, and shelter and never have anything)  Another conclusion is that greed was not as popular back then. That goes off of the whole all men for themselves policy.

Why was Wilson against having secret treaties
zimovet [89]
Wilson believed that fundamental flaws in international relations created an unhealthy climate that led inexorably to the World War. His 14 points outlined his vision for a safer world. Wilson called for an end to secret diplomacy, a reduction of armaments, and freedom of the seas. He claimed that reductions to trade barriers, fair adjustment of colonies, and respect for national self-determination would reduce economic and nationalist sentiments that lead to war.
