Jenny is starting a cake baking business. She plans on selling each cake for $15 and her cost will be $5 per cake. The equipment

and supplies will cost $250. Jenny orders enough supplies to make 200 cakes and determines that the profit can be modeled by the function P=10x−250.
What is the domain of this function in this situation? (Hint: domain includes all possible x-values)
{0≥x≥200}

The domain is {0≤x≤200}.

This is because the domain is x, the number of cakes.  The smallest number of cakes she can bake is 0.

Since she is buying enough materials to make 200 cakes, this number is the largest number of cakes she can bake.

     <span>a)
Acceleration of stone = 10

Integrate:
So velocity = 10t

Integrate again:
So distance from starting point = 5t^2

Distance from ground = 450-5t^2

b)
450 - 5t^2 = 0

9.48 seconds

c) velocity = 10t

Put the time into this to give:

94.8 m/s

d.

Velocity = 10t + 5

Integrate again:

5t^2 + 5t

Solve
5t^2 + 5t = 450

Gives 9 seconds</span>

A specific automotive part that a service station stocks in its inventory has an 8% chance of being defective. Suppose many cars
mylen [45]

Answer:

6.23% probability that the fourth part retrieved from stock is the first defective

Step-by-step explanation:

For each part, we have that:

8% probability of being defective.

100-8 = 92% probability of not being defective.

The parts are independent of each other.

What is the probability that the fourth part retrieved from stock is the first defective?

The first three work correctly, each one with a 92% probability.

The fourth is defective, with an 8% probability.

P = 0.92*0.92*0.92*0.08 = 0.0623

6.23% probability that the fourth part retrieved from stock is the first defective
