Answer:

Nitrogen

Explanation:

Nitrogen is an important nutrient required for the proper growth and development of plants. Farmers usually plow and grow under alfalfa - a leguminous crop, to enhance the fertility of soil. This is because alfalfa adds more amount of Nitrogen in the soil than any other crop. Studies suggest that around 50 lbs. of nitrogen per acre can be added in soil each year by growing alfalfa in the crop fields. This has immense potential to overcome the problems that crops face due to lack of fertilizers.

Hope it help!

Answer:

A farmer grows and plows under of alfalfa to enrich the soil with nitrogen.

Explanation:

Nitrogen is a very helpful nutrient for the development of crops and plants. Farmers usually grow the crops under alfalfa- a leguminous crop, the only alfalfa contains much of the nitrogen. It produced much nitrogen is removed during the harvest. Legumes are plants, which are rich in proteins. Worldwide more than 16,000 species of legumes are known including trees, grass, herbs ,etc. Alfalfa puts more nitrogen back into the soil however, the crop still provides a great deal of added nitrogen to the soil based on a year growing alfalfa. Studies suggest that around 50 lbs. of nitrogen per acre can be added in the soil each year by growing alfalfa in the crop fields.

In 3–5 sentences, compare and contrast the flow of matter and energy in each
trapecia [35]

Answer:There is a fundamental difference in the way energy and matter flows through an ecosystem.Matter flows through the ecosystem in the form of the non-living nutrients essential to living organisms. When a living organism dies, nutrients are released back into the soil. These nutrients then are absorbed by plants, which are eaten by the herbivores. Matter, once again, is passed on. The herbivore is eaten by a carnivore (and matter is yet again transferred therein). Ultimately, when the carnivore dies, matter is returned back to the soil by the decomposers and the cycle repeats. So you see, matter is recycled in the ecosystem.Unlike matter, energy is not recycled through the system. A part of the energy is lost at each stage.

Why does the element carbon create such different minerals as diamond and graphite ?
Ipatiy [6.2K]
Carbon has four available binding sites and depending on how one atom binds to other atoms, it can form different structures. If you look up the structure of diamond and graphite, you’ll see that they are all made out of carbon but they are arranged differently.
