Answer:

C

Explanation:

In 1929, after an extended period of financial boom, prices on the U.S. stock market crashed, leading to the Great Depression of the 1930s. Savings disappeared overnight, and many banks ran out of cash on hand as consumers raced to the banks to retrieve their money. The resulting economic depression lasted until the beginning of World War II.

What principle is expressed by the Latin phrase e pluribus unum? What does the phrase mean in English?
irinina [24]

The Latin phrase "E Pluribus unum" means in English "Out of many, one". The principle that it expresses is basically union. This union refers to the Union formed by the separate states. It is clenched in the eagle's beak on the Great Seal of the United States.

In the Council-Manager form of Government, the City Council is the governing body voted by the citizens. The Council hires a City Manager to be the chief executive of the city government. The tasks that City Managers develop have to do with being in tune with the elected officials and directing the city's bureaucracy. They also advise the City Council on decision-making and carry on his wishes. Currently, this type of government is one of the two predominant forms of government and this is due to the fact that is a way to get rid of the abuses of the spoils system found in municipalities of the political machine.

A plea bargain refers to any type of agreement or deal that has to do with a criminal case between the defendant and the prosecutor in which the defendant agrees to plead guilty to a charge. the benefit of doing so could be that by pleading guilty, the defendant gets in return a more lenient sentence. In other cases, when there are multiple charges, the defendant may plead guilty to only one of the charges, to get all of some of the other charges dropped or dismissed.

A plea bargain also allows both parties to avoid a lengthly trial.

Which is an example of a conservative view of government?
Solnce55 [7]

Answer:

I'm going to assume you mean "conservative view of government" in modern American politics. If so, the best answer would be:

A) The government should protect individuals' freedoms.

In American political life, "conservatism" means wanting to conserve and preserve the ideals of the founding fathers of the country. So a primary concern is the protection of the "inalienable rights" of citizens (to quote a phrase from the Declaration of Independence).

Further explanation:

Be aware that the term "conservative" has meant different things at different times in history. In 19th century Europe, "conservative" and "liberal" were first coming into vogue as terms for political viewpoints. What "conservative" and "liberal" meant then was different from what those terms mean in politics today. 19th century conservatives wanted to conserve and preserve the historic traditions of government and society. For societies like France and elsewhere on the continent of Europe, that meant going back to monarchs in control of government, as things had been before the French Revolution. Liberals were those who favored liberty for individuals, with greater rights and freedoms.

America was founded on the ideas and ideals of 18th and century movements that leaned in the direction of liberalism -- or the promotion of individual liberties. So in America's context today, being "conservative" tends to mean preserving those libertarian roots from the time of our country's founding.
