26) x+x+1+2x+x+3 simplified it is 5x+4 because you need to add all the like terms. when you plug in 3 for x the equation turns into 5(3) +4 so your final answer is 19.

Does each equation represent exponential decay or exponential growth?
agasfer [191]

An exponential equation is represented as: \mathbf{y = ab^x}, where b represents rate

  • Exponential growth: \mathbf{y = 5(7)^x},  \mathbf{y = 3(4.2)^x} and \mathbf{y = 0.6(1.3)^x}
  • Exponential decay: \mathbf{k = 4.2(0.28)^x}
  • Neither: \mathbf{h(x) - 3x + 1.3}

An exponential equation is said to represent growth, if the rate is greater than 1, while it represents decay if the rate is less than 1.

This means that:

\mathbf{y = 5(7)^x},  \mathbf{y = 3(4.2)^x} and \mathbf{y = 0.6(1.3)^x} represent exponential growth because 5, 4.2 and 1.3 are greater than 1

Also,

\mathbf{k = 4.2(0.28)^x} represents exponential decay because 0.28 is less than 1

While

\mathbf{h(x) - 3x + 1.3} is not an exponential function

Below is the graph of f(x)=2In(x). how would you describe the graph of g(x)=4In(x)

A is twice as large as in f(x), thus the graph shrinks twice as much in g(x)

t a gas station, 15 gallons of gas has a price of $17.55 and 18 gallons of gas has a price of $21.06. Write a direct variation e
yaroslaw [1]
Use  constant of variation y =kx  i.e
15 gallons k=>17.55
k gallons =17.55/15=1.17

18 gallons k=>21.06
k gallons =21.06/18=1.17

Therefore ans => y=1.17x
