7. Stress is the force applied to a rock, which may cause deformation of the rock. There are three major types of stress and go along with the three types of plate boundaries; Compression stress is common at convergent boundaries, tension stress at divergent boundaries, and the shear stress at transform boundaries. In this case the rocks have undergone tensional stresses.

8.  Horst is a raised fault block bounded by normal faults. A horst is a raised block of the Earth's crust that has lifted, or has remained stationary, while the land on either side (garben) has subsided. Therefore the structure labeled A in the diagram is Horst.

9. A Graben; it is a valley with a distinct escarpment on each side caused by the displacement of a block downward. It often occurs side by side with the horsts. Horst and Graben structures indicate tensional forces and crustal stretching. Therefore, the structure labeled B is Graben.

notka56 [123]
The answer to this question is the "coal-burning power or the power plants". Hence, the Airborne mercury has received special attention because it is a widespread and persistent neurotoxin. TA neurotoxin is a substance that damages the brain and the nervous systems. Minute doses can cause nerve damage and other impairments, especially in the young children and the developing fetuses. The majority of the airborne mercury is released by POWER PLANTS or coal-burning plants. Many people are affected and get sick that is why when there is a proposed new power plant project, most people object and opposed.

Explanation;

-Lipids are a diverse group of hydrophobic molecules. They include fats, waxes, oils, phospholipids, and steroids.

-Lipids are among the four biomolecules  others being; carbohydrates, proteins, and nucleic acids.

They are made of- C, H, O- with no specific ratio. The categories of lipids include; oils, fats, wax.

-Their main roles includes; insulating and protection, and  long term energy storage.

They don't form polymers- only monomers.
