So far, we know:

First day:  2 oranges

Second day:  4 oranges

Third day:  6 oranges

Thus, every day Kathy picks 2 more oranges than the previous day.  Let's continue the pattern:

Fourth day:  8 oranges

Fifth day:  10 oranges

Sixth day:  12 oranges

Another pattern you might notice is that the number of oranges picked each day is double the number on that day.  For example, on day 4, 8 oranges are picked (2*4 = 8), and on day 2, 4 oranges are picked (2*2 = 4).

How many solutions does this system have? y=3/4x-5 -3x+4y=-20?
Komok [63]
4y=-20+3x and 4y=13.6x-20
so
-20+3x=13.6x-20
3x=13.6x
3=13.6 so it is wrong and system doesn’t have solution

It is no answer, because when you get 12x + 48 = 48 + 12x, they cancel each other out.

We may conclude that (a) events A and B are independent. (b) events A and B are mutually exclusive. (c) either A or B always occ
Yakvenalex [24]

Answer:

The answer is below

Step-by-step explanation:

The question is not complete. But I would show you how to solve the problem.

Two events A and B are said to be independent if the occurrence of event A does not affect the occurrence of event B and vice versa. P(A and B) = P(A) * P(B).

Two events A and B are said to be mutually exclusive if event A and event B cannot occur at the same time. P(A and B) = 0.

Two events A and B are said to be complementary when event A occurs if and only if event B does not occur and vice versa.
