Formulas

V = (1/3)* pi*B*h

B = s*s which is one side of the square base multiplied by itself.

Givens

s = y

V = V

h = ??

Substitute

V = (1/3)s^2*h Multiply both sides by 3

3V = s^2 * h

3V / s^2 = h

But y = s

3V /y^2 = h

Answer: h=\frac{3V}{y^{2} }

Step-by-step explanation: The volume of a pyramid is equal to one-third the product of the area of the base and the height:

V=\frac{1}{3}A*h

In this case, the base is a square, so its area is:

A=y^2 where "y" is the lenght of the base edge

So isolating the height it would be:

h=\frac{3V}{A}

h=\frac{3V}{y^{2} }

Identify the domain and range of each of the graphs below.<br><br><br> Domain: <br><br><br> Range:
Anna11 [10]

Answer:

Domain → (-∞, ∞)

Range → (-∞, ∞)

Step-by-step explanation:

Domain of a function is defined by the x-values or input values of the graph.

Similarly, Range of the function is defined by the y-values or output values from the graph.

From the picture attached,

x - values for the line shown in the graph vary from negative infinity to positive infinity.

Therefore, Domain of the function will be → (-∞, ∞)

And for every x-value there is a y-value, so Range of the function will be same as domain (varying from negative infinity to positive infinity) → (-∞, ∞)

Problem
Sergeu [11.5K]

The lengths of HJ and JK are 50 and 72 respectively.

Given: J is between H and K. the length of HJ=2x+4, JK=3x+3, and HK=22.

The line HJ and JK are  collinear then the total length is given as: HJ+JK=HK

substitute values

⇒ (2x+4)+(3x+3)=22

⇒ 5x+7=22

⇒ 5x=22-7

⇒ 5x=15

⇒ x=3

Thus, the length of HJ is (2x+4)=(2*3+4)=10

And the length of JK is (3x+3)=(3*3+3)=12

Janie was given (-2, 3) as the endpoint of a line segment and (0,1) as its midpoint, which ordered pair should Janie choose as h
MaRussiya [10]
When given two end points of a segment say for example (X1,Y1) and (X2,Y2) to get the midpoint of the line or the segment we use the formula,
 midpoint =( (X1+X2)/2 , (Y1+Y2)/2 )
therefore in our case the midpoint is (0,1)
hence, (-2 + X2)/ 2 = 0, thus X2 = 2
        and (3 + Y2)/ 2= 1 , thus Y2 = -1
Therefore the other end point will be (2,-1). Thus none of the above paper can be used as the other end point.

What is the surface area of the shaded front face of the composite solid?
kari74 [83]

Answer:

26

Step-by-step explanation:

the first prism is 2 times 4 which is 8, the second is 3 times 2 which is 6, the third is 3 times 4 which is 12. 8 plus 6 plus 12 is 26.
