Surface tension is defined as the tendency of elasticity of a liquid surface that makes it to achieve the possible least surface area. It depends upon the intermolecular forces present on the boundary of the surface of the compound and its contact.

n-butane (CH_{3}CH_{2}CH_{2}CH_{3}) is non-polar compound and it consist of only weak dispersion forces that are responsible for any contact with the surface.

In comparison to other given substances, n-butane has the weakest dispersion forces. Thus, n-butane has lowest surface tension.

Question 2 (1 point)
Al + S8 = Al2S3
When balanced, what is the coefficient of Al?
gtnhenbr [62]

Answer:

16

Explanation:

FIRST AND FOREMOST, BALANCE YOUR EQUATION.

Al + S8 ➡️ Al2S3

Numbers of Al=1. ➡️ Numbers of Al = 2

Numbers of S =8. ➡️ Numbers of S. = 3

USE COEFFICIENT TO BALANCE THE EQUATION.

16Al + 3S8 ➡️ 8Al2S3

Now the Numbers of Al and S in both sides of eqn. is balanced

The Answer Is 16

Both protons and neutrons are located inside the nucleus of an atom. Changing the number of neutrons in the nucleus would form d
skelet666 [1.2K]
By changing the number of protons in an element, you are fundamentally changing it to a different element.

It’s worth remembering that:

Protons identify the element

Electrons determine properties and behavior of the element

Neutrons contribute to isotopes and just help keep everything stable, by separating the charges. Remember opposites attract. Like charges repel.

A titanium cube contains 2.86×1023 atoms. what is the edge length l of the cube? the density of titanium is 4.50 g/cm3 . (the vo
IRISSAK [1]
When mass Ti = density * volume

and when moles Ti = mass Ti/molar mass Ti

∴ Volume = 2.86 x 10^23 atom * ( 1 mol Ti / 6.022 x 10^23) * (47.867 g Ti / 1 mol Ti) *(1Cm3 / 4.5 g Ti )

                = 5.05 Cm^3

when we assume that the sample of Ti is a cube:

and we assume the length = X

∴ V = X^3

∴X^3 = 5.05

∴X = ∛5.05

     = 1.7 Cm

Which substance is made up of molecules that can have temporary dipoles?
Dahasolnce [82]

Answer:

Molecules that contain dipoles are called polar molecules and are very abundant in nature. For example, a water molecule (H2O) has a large permanent electric dipole moment.

so it is (D). H2O
