Answer:

area is 26.285cm² permiter is 28.565 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

area

so split the shape into smaller shapes

half- circle

area of a circle is πr^2 so πx4^2 is 12.57 so half this number to get area of a half- circle =6.285cm2

rectangle area = (2+4+2) x 1= 8cm2

triangle area is 1/2 base x height

so 1/2 8 X 3 = 4 x 3= 12 cm2

add them all up 6.285 + 8 + 12= 26.285cm2

perimeter

do it bit by bit again

perimeter of half circle

for full circle =2πr^2 so = 25.13

for half circle= 12.565cm

rectangle part = 2+2+1+1 = 6cm

triangle part =5+5 = 10cm

total perimeter = 12.565+6+10= 28.565 cm

Below are suppose the be the questions:

a. factor the equation
b. graph the parabola
c. identify the vertex minimum or maximum of the parabola
d. solve the equation using the quadratic formula

below are the answers:

Vertex form is most helpful for all of these tasks.
Let
.. f(x) = a(x -h) +k ... the function written in vertex form.

a) Factor:
.. (x -h +√(-k/a)) * (x -h -√(-k/a))

b) Graph:
.. It is a graph of y=x^2 with the vertex translated to (h, k) and vertically stretched by a factor of "a".

c) Vertex and Extreme:
.. The vertex is (h, k). It is a maximum if "a" is negative; a minimum otherwise.

d) Solutions:
.. The quadratic formula is based on the notion of completing the square. In vertex form, the square is already completed, so the roots are

Find the total of male students:

4 + 6 + 2 + 2 = 14 total males.

There are 2 male juniors.

MrRissso [65]

Answer:

If we define the random variable X ="time spend by the students doign homework"

And we want to tes t is students spend more than 1 hour doing homework per night, on average (alternative hypothesis), so then the system of hypothesis for this case are:

Null hypothesis: \mu \leq 1

Alternative hypothesis: \mu >1

And they wnat to use a sample size of n = 100 and a significance level of 0.05

Step-by-step explanation:

Previous concepts

A hypothesis is defined as "a speculation or theory based on insufficient evidence that lends itself to further testing and experimentation. With further testing, a hypothesis can usually be proven true or false".

The null hypothesis is defined as "a hypothesis that says there is no statistical significance between the two variables in the hypothesis. It is the hypothesis that the researcher is trying to disprove".

The alternative hypothesis is "just the inverse, or opposite, of the null hypothesis. It is the hypothesis that researcher is trying to prove".

Solution to the problem

If we define the random variable X ="time spend by the students doign homework"

And we want to tes t is students spend more than 1 hour doing homework per night, on average (alternative hypothesis), so then the system of hypothesis for this case are:

Null hypothesis: \mu \leq 1

Alternative hypothesis: \mu >1

And they wnat to use a sample size of n = 100 and a significance level of 0.05

Triangle QRS has been rotated 90° to create triangle TVU. Using the image below, prove that lines RS and VU have the opposite an
Zanzabum

Answer:

If the line RS has been rotated 90 degrees, then VU will be perpendicular to RS and the two slopes must be opposite and reciprocal, i.e. product of the two slopes will equal -1.

As a verification, we find the locations of V and U from rotations of R & S.

(actually, the triangle had been rotated -90°, 90 ° clockwise)

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope RS, m1:

Slope VU, m2

Hence m1*m2=1*-1=-1, meaning that m1 and m2 are opposite (in sign) and are reciprocal to each other, as expected
