Misty has 10 shirts and 4 pairs of pants. Write the ratio of her shirts to pants in simplest form. 10 to 4 2 to 5 5 to 2 4 to 10
saveliy_v [14]
5:2 is the simplest form becuase it cant be divided into smaller numbers anymore.

2:5 wouldnt work because thats saying that there are 2 shirts for every 5 pants when its 5 shirts for every 2 pants.

How do you find the length of a triangle?
lord [1]
The hypothenuse is the longest side of a triangle, and is thus located opposite the right angle! So, if you know the length of two sides, all you have to do is square the two lengths, add the result, then take the square root of the sum to get the length of the hypothenuse

For the given line segment, write the equation of the perpendicular bisector.
Lesechka [4]

D.) -4/5X-47/10, because the slope of the line is 5/4 and the perpendicular bisector must be the opposite reciprocal, meaning the numerator and denominator flip and then it becomes negative. So the opposite reciprocal of 5/4 is -4/5, leading us to answer choice D

Simplify the following expression (a+2)(3a-1)
Rasek [7]
3a^2+5a-2.

To do this problem would require a method called FOIL. If you are not familiar this means First Outside Inside Last. You multiply the First terms, 3a and a, which results in 3*a*a or 3a^2. Next you multiply the Outside terms, a and -1, which results in -a. Next multiply the Inside terms, 2 and 3a, to result in 6a. Finally multiply the Last terms, 2 and -1, which gives us -2. If we put all these terms together we get 3a^2 -a +6a -2 which we can then simplify to 3a^2+5a-2

Find the equation for the line that passes through the point (1,−4) and that is parallel to the line with the equation y=4.
diamong [38]

Answer:

y = -4.

Step-by-step explanation:

The line with equation y = 4 is a horizontal line on the coordinate plane which passes through the y-axis at y = the point (0, 4).

The other line parallel to this must also be horizontal and , as it passes through the point (1 , -4), must also pass through the y-axis at  ( 0, -4). The equation of this line is y = -4.
