The following are the disadvantages of sexual reproduction:
1. Sexual reproduction requires a male and female partner, without the two coming together reproduction can not take place. Getting a partner might be difficult if there is disparity between the number of males and females in the area.
2. Sexual reproduction takes time and energy. The process is labour intensive and time consuming. For example, the male animal needs to court the female animal and build emotional connection before copulation can occur. Not all copulations are successful at the first attempt, some animals may have to copulate several time before fertilization occur.
3. Sexual reproduction reproduce fewer offspring than asexual reproduction.
4. Sexual reproduction can prevent favourable genes from being passed to the offspring.

Why is permanent immunity to the flu impossible to acquire?
lisov135 [29]
First we must describe how immunity works. Immunity works by recognition of the antigen by macrophages or dendritic cells (antigen presenting cells) then presenting it to T cells and T cells will work to destroy the organisms with the specific antigen. B cells can also recognize antigens then secrete antibodies to combat organisms with the specific antigen. In the case of flu, or influenza, the genetic material of the virus mutates so often that the antibodies produced by the body against a certain strain of influenza will not work after some time because of the mutation of the virus.

blood clots form to stop bleeding. this occurs through the clumping of blood, which is also known as ?
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

The correct answer would be coagulation.

Coagulation refers to the process by which blood clots and prevent bleeding.

During this process, the blood thickens and changes into the gel from a liquid.

It ultimately leads to hemostasis which is defined as the first stage of wound healing.

It involves different clotting proteins and factors. One such protein is fibrinogen, a soluble protein which is converted into insoluble form fibrin. Fibrin with the help of platelets forms a stable thrombus.
