if the question is how long it will take him to read the pages, the answer is the number of pages divided by the number of pages per hour.

117/55≈2.1273, so on average 2.13 hours to read all 117 pages

Ok. You can use equations to find out what number of each meal was eaten.

x*14+y*17=99

If you solve for x and y (I used guess and check- there's only a few possible combinations) and got one chicken dinner and five steak dinners.

Find the value of X.
-Dominant- [34]
To find the value of x we first need to find the missing angle in the triangle.

To do that we are gonna add the angles we already have.

64 + 45 = 109

Angles in a triangle measures 180 so to get the missing angle we are gonna subtract 109 from 180

180 - 109 = 71 deg

The missing angle in the triangle is 71 deg

Angles on a straight line adds up to 10 so to find x we are gonna subtract 71 from 180

180 - 71 = 109 degrees

Therefore x is 109 degrees.

First, convert the distance of a typical marathon to kilometers.
1 mi = 1.609 km
26.2 miles = 42.165 km

Divide this distance by Allan's average speed to get his average time.

42.165 km / 12 km/hr = 3.514 hours

Solve y-12/25=3 1/5. What number is y?<br><br> A. 3 1/5<br> B. 3 17/25<br> C. 3 7/25<br> D. 4 17/25

Answer:

Option c) y=3\frac{17}{25} is correct

The value of y is 3\frac{17}{25}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equation is

y-\frac{12}{25}=3\frac{1}{5}

To solve the given equation for y

y-\frac{12}{25}=3\frac{1}{5}

y-\frac{12}{25}=\frac{16}{5}  (converting mixed fraction to normal fraction )

y-\frac{16}{5}=\frac{12}{25}

y-\frac{(16\times 5)+12}{25}  (taking LCM 25 )

=\frac{80+12}{25}  (adding the terms )

y=\frac{92}{25}  (now convert fraction into mixed fraction )

Therefore y=3\frac{17}{25}

Option c) y=3\frac{17}{25} is correct

The value of y is 3\frac{17}{25}
