What is the nuclear charge of an alpha particle?

Chemistry

Alpha particles are released by high mass, proton rich unstable nuclei. The alpha particle is a helium nucleus; it consists of two protons and two neutrons. It contains no electrons to balance the two positively charged protons. Alpha particles are therefore positively charged particles moving at high speeds.

I'm pretty sure it's D. Compounds
Salt water is an example of a solution, and a solution is a type of mixture, so by multiple choice logic none can be the right answer! Seriously though - mixture are combinations of two compounds that are physically combined but do not undergo a chemical reaction with one another to produce a new compound. For instance, when you dissolve salt in water, you don't produce any new products, and you can boil away the water to leave only the salt (a physical method of separation). You cannot separate a compound by physical means because by definition this would be a chemical reaction as you're breaking bonds.

ITS TIMED ANSWER QUICKLY PLSSS!!Which spheres of Earth are directly influenced when human-caused air pollution leads to acid rai
bagirrra123 [75]
<h3>Answer:</h3>
  • Atmosphere
  • Geosphere
  • Hydrosphere
<h3>Explanation:</h3>
  • Humans impact the spheres of the earth negatively through pollution and deposition of waste products from industries and factories.
  • The release of waste gases from factories and chemical industries pollutes the atmosphere which is composed of the gases used by animals and plants.
  • Waste products and toxic materials from factories that are released to rivers, oceans, and lakes affect the hydrosphere by destroying the aquatic organisms.
  • Deposition of materials wastes from homes and from day to day activities on the soil and activities such as mining and deforestation destroys the geosphere that has the soil used form agricultural purposes.

Calculate the inner diameter of the steam tube between the boiler and the high pressure turbine if the average velocity of the s
stich3 [128]

Answer:

The inner diameter of the steam tube is 0.1185 m.

Explanation:

m=\rho \times A\times v=\frac{1}{V}\times A\times v

m = mass flow rate

\rho = density of the liquid

V=specific volume =\frac{1}{\rho }

v = velocity of the liquid

A = area of cross-section

Diameter of the cross-section = d = 2r

Given: m = 18 kg/s, v = 60 m/s,A=?, V = 0.036793 m^3/kg

18 kg/s=\frac{1}{0.036793 m^3/kg}\times A\times 60 m/s

A=0.0110379 m^2

Area of the inner cross section = \pi r^2=\pi \frac{d^2}{4}

\pi \frac{d^2}{4}=0.0110379 m^2

d = 0.1185 m

The inner diameter of the steam tube is 0.1185 m.
