Combine like terms. remember to keep the signs.

5x² - 2x² = 3x²
3x - (-6x) = 3x + 6x = 9x
4 - (-3) = 7

3x² + 9x + 7 = Ax² + Bx + C

9 = B, because 9 is in the B's place

9 is your answer

hope this helps

=5x2+3x+4-(2x2-6x+3)
=5x2+3x+4-2x2+6x-3
=3x2+9x+1
comparing it with Ax2+Bx+C we get B=9

What is the distance between the points ( − 4 , 5 ) and ( 8 , 9 ) ?
anygoal [31]

Answer:

Sqrt of 160

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance, try to think it as a triangle, so you will find out that the distance equals the sqrt of(8-(-4))^2 + (9-5)^2, so it will be sqrt of(144+16) which is sqrt of 160, so the answer will be sqrt of 160

After solving the system of equations,  x= -3 and y=6

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to solve the following system of equations by substitution.

-3x + y = 15\,\,\,(1)\\-8x-7y = -18\,\,\,(2)

Finding value of y from equation(1) and substituting it in equation(2)

y=15+3x\\substituting\,\,in\,\,equation(2)\\-8x-7(15+3x)=-18\\Solving:\\-8x-105-21x=-18\\-8x-21x=-18+105\\-29x=87\\x=\frac{87}{-29}\\x=-3\\

The value of x is x=-3

Now, Finding value of x from eq(1) and substituting in equation(2)

-3x=15-y\\x=\frac{15-y}{-3}\\Substituting\,\,in\,\,equation(2)\\-8(\frac{15-y}{-3})-7y=-18\\\frac{120-8y}{3}-7y=-18\\\frac{120-8y-7y*3}{3}=-18\\\frac{120-8y-21y}{3}=-18\\\frac{120-29y}{3}=-18\\120-29y=-18*3\\120-29y=-54\\-29y=-54-120\\-29y=-174\\y=\frac{-174}{-29}\\y=6

So, Value of y is y=6

After solving the system of equations,  x= -3 and y=6
