Solution-

<em>Hint- A nickel is worth 5 cents and a dime is worth 10 cents.</em>

Suppose x number of nickels and y number of dimes are present.

Worth of nickels = x × 5 =5x cents = \frac{1}{20}x \ dollar

Worth of dimes = y × 10 =10y cents = \frac{1}{10}y\ dollar

Net worth = Worth of nickels + Worth of dimes = $9.45

\Rightarrow \frac{1}{20}x+\frac{1}{10}y=9.45

If the number of dimes is doubled, then

Worth of dimes = 2 × y × 10 =20y cents = \frac{1}{5}y \ dollar

Net worth = Worth of nickels + Worth of dimes = $16.65

\Rightarrow \frac{1}{20}x+\frac{1}{5}y=16.65

Subtracting both the equation,

\Rightarrow (\frac{1}{20}x+\frac{1}{10}y)-(\frac{1}{20}x+\frac{1}{5}y)=(16.65)-(9.45)=7.2

\Rightarrow \frac{1}{5}y-\frac{1}{10}y=7.2

\Rightarrow \frac{1}{10}y=7.2

\Rightarrow y=72

Putting the value of y in any equation will give the value of x,

the value of x was found to be 45.

∴ Number of nickels are 45 and number of dimes are 72.

N- nickel
d-dimes

first it is said that we have n+d=9,45
and if we double the dimes we will have
n+2d=16,65

so from the first equation we have n=9,45-d
the second equation then transforms into
n+2d=16,65
9,45-d +2d=16,65
9,45+d=16,65
d= 16,65-9,45
d=7,2

And we get back to the first equation
n+d=9,45
So n=9,45-d
n=9,45-7,2
n=2,25

What is an equation of a circle with center (2,7) and radius 4?
goblinko [34]

Equation of a circle:

(x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2

In this case:

<span>center (2,7) and radius 4 so h = 2, k = 7 and r = 4

</span>Equation:

(x - 2)^2 + (y - 7)^2 = 4^2

(x - 2)^2 + (y - 7)^2 = 16

Hope it helps.

X=grams of protein you need daily.
Remember (4%=4/100=0.04).

x=4% of x + 48 g

therefore, we can suggest this equation:
x=0.04x+ 48
x-0.04x=48
0.96x=48
x=48/0.96
x=50

Answer: 50 grams of proteins you need daily.

Other method:
the remaning is equal to =100%-4%=96%

Therefore: 96% of x=48
Remember (96%=96/100=0.96)

we can suggest this equation too.
0.96x=48
x=48/0.96
x=50

ziro4ka [17]

Answer: the system of equations are

x + y = 22

x + 1.5y = 30

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the number of math problems that Olivia solved.

Let y represent the number of pages that Olivia read.

Olivia completed a total of 22 math problems and pages of reading. This means that

x + y = 22- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -1

Olivia can solve each math problem in 1 minute and she can read each page in 1.5 minutes. Olivia completed a total of 22 math problems and pages of reading in 30 minutes. This means that

x + 1.5y = 30 - -- - - - - - - - - -2
