The water level in a tank is 18 m above the ground. A hose is connected to the bottom of the tank, and the nozzle at the end of

the hose is pointed straight up. The tank cover is airtight, and the air pressure above the water surface is 3 atm gage. The system is at sea level. Determine the maximum height to which the water stream could rise. Take the density of water to be 1000 kg/m3. (Round the final answer to one decimal place.)

Answer:

48.98623 m

Explanation:

Given;

Height of the water level above the ground = 18 m

Pressure at the water surface level = 3 atm = 3 × 101325 N/m²

Density of water = 1000 kg/m³

let the maximum rise in the water stream be 'x'

Now, By  the conservation of energy at the water surface and the maximum height of the water stream

\frac{P_1}{\rho g}+\frac{V_1^2}{2g}+h=\frac{P_2}{\rho g}+\frac{V_2^2}{2g}+x

here,

V₁ and V₂ are the velocities at the surface level and the maximum level of water stream rise = 0 m/s

P₂ = 0 (atmospheric pressure)

on substituting the respective values, we get

\frac{3\times101325}{1000\times9.81}+\frac{0^2}{2g}+18=\frac{0}{\rho g}+\frac{0^2}{2g}+x

or

x = \frac{3\times101325}{1000\times9.81}+18

or

x = 30.98623 + 18

or

x = 48.98623 m

How long will it take a car to go from a complete stop to 44km/h if they are accelerating at 5km/h
Ber [7]

Explanation:As always, if the relation does not come to mind immediately, take a glance at the basic kinematic equations of constant acceleration

what do we know? Vi start speed; Vf terminal speed; acceleration a; and we want to know time t. Three of the relations have a term in d distance - which we don’’t know. That leaves this one: Vt = Vi + a*t. Here we go then:

44 = 0 + 5 * t so t = 44 / 5 = 8.8 hours

Two point charges are 3.00 cm apart. They are moved to a new separation of 2.00 cm. By what factor does the resulting mutual for
trasher [3.6K]

Answer:

By a factor of 9/4

Explanation:

Applying Coulomb's law,

F = kqq'/r²................... Equation 1

Assuming q and q' are the two point charges respectively.

Where k = coulomb's constant, r = distance between the charges.

When the point charges are 3.0 m apart,

F = kqq'/3²

F = kqq'/9.................... Equation 1

When they are moved to a new distance, 2.00 m

F' = kqq'/2²

F' = kqq'/4................. Equation 2.

Comparing equation 1 and equation 2.

F' = 9F/4

Hence the resulting mutual force change by a factor of 9/4

Noaptea, aflându-te într-o odaie întunecată, observi pe peretele opus ferestrei deplasarea petelor luminoase provenite de la far
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

The car evidently moved in the South-North direction.

Mașina se deplasa în mod evident în direcția Sud-Nord.

Explanation:

English Translation

At night, in a dark room, you notice on the wall opposite the window the movement of light spots from the headlights of a car in a south-north direction. In what direction did the car move?

Solution

Light rays fall obliquely on walls but move in the same direction as the car's direction of travel. And from the question, it is stated that the light rays move in the south-north direction, hence, the car in question, moved in the South-North direction too.

Hope this Helps!!!

Sper că acest lucru vă ajută!!!
