Answer:

Lets begin with the first concept:

1. Self-Fulfilling Prophecy:

This phenomenon simply states that a person will act in a way that is consistent with their expectations, and because actions generate reactions, what they had expected will come to pass.

If Mr. Smith believes that he cannot help the students based on the profiling he had collected earlier from his colleagues, then his belief will become real. He would subconsciously act in ways that suggest that he is unwilling or unable to help them, or get them cooperate. They too will reciprocate consciously or unconsciously. At the end of the day, Mr. Smiths expectations becomes reality. He can change his thought pattern to get the best results.

2. Big-Five Trait of Neuroticism

Personality scientists have produced research that shows that humans traits can be put into 5 categories. Neuroticism is one of those categories.

When a person is easily upset, has frequent bouts of mood swings, is easily stressed out, if they are careless about the way they show their emotions, he or she may be Neurotic.

As a high school teacher, it is expected that one would deal with some nuances from the students most of whom may be teenagers given the grade.

If Mr. Smith is neurotic that is easily stressed or upset and can't shake negative emotions quickly, this would explain his inability to manage his students. Neurosis simply means that one has difficulty managing their emotions or keeping it positive. This sometimes is referred to as emotional intelligence which is crucial to socializing properly as well as leading effectively.
