Answer: The sample space is {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}.

The expected value for the game is 0.

The game is fair because the expected value is equal to 0.

Step-by-step explanation:

For rolling a dice the sample space = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

As there are equal number of odd numbers as well as even numbers and we get one point if we roll an even number and negative one point if you roll an odd number, therefore, the expected value = 0

Therefore, the game is fair because the expected value is equal to 0.

m∠B = 33° is the answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

If two triangles ΔABC and ΔMOP are similar, then their corresponding angles are congruent.

In any triangle, sum of the measure of the angles add up to 180°.

∠A+ ∠B+ ∠C = 180°

∠A ≅ ∠M

∠B ≅ ∠O

∠C ≅ ∠P

So we can add as,

∠A + ∠B+ ∠P = 180°

45° + ∠B + 102° = 180°

∠B + 147° = 180°

∠B = 180° - 147° = 33°

Answer:

 1. C
 2. E
 3. B

Step-by-step explanation:

The idea of a "production possibilities curve" is that there is a fixed relationship between possible production of one product and possible production of another. This relationship is presumed to exist because resources used to produce one product are then unavailable to produce the other product.

The graph of the curve generally has increased production in the direction away from the origin. So, points between the curve and the origin represent production choices that do not utilize all available resources of the kind that give rise to the curve. That is, points "inside" the curve represent under-utilization of resources.

1. Point C represents under-utilization.

__

2. Points "outside" the curve are unattainable, because the curve represents production using all available resources.

 Point E is unattainable.

__

3. The assumptions behind the curve are that there must be a tradeoff between production of one item and production of another that uses the same resources. That is, increasing production of one item will necessarily decrease production of the other, representing a cost of the increased production of the first item. We call this cost an "opportunity cost", because it represents production opportunity lost with respect to the second item.

 Choice B describes this situation.

_____

Additional comment

The very idea of a "production possibilities curve" represents the sort of simplification that is often used in the study of economics. The real world is much messier, and these curves are always dynamic. They are affected by the regulatory environment, resource quality, technology, product quality, and availability of alternate or competing products, among other things. The very existence of such a curve precludes the possibility of "win-win" situations, which we know are generally available if they are sought after.

What is Szymborska's overall opinion of humanity in "A Contribution to Statistics?" Support your response with at least two deta
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

Szymborska's overall opinion of humanity in "A Contribution to Statistics" is overall positive

Step-by-step explanation:

Szymborska is a poet who likes to comment on society with irony and sarcasm. One example of this is when she splits people into categories in her poem “A Contribution to Statistics”. Here Szymborska’s overall opinion of humanity may seem negative due to her bluntness and dry humor. For example, she says in the tenth stanza, “cruel when forced by circumstances -better not to know even ballpark figures.” It’s implied in this line that most people (maybe even all)are cruel or can be. She also says, “taking only things from life -thirty”which comments how lots of people are selfish. However, this seemingly cynical poem takes a sweeter turn near the end with statistics like, “worthy of compassion - ninety-nine” and “mortal- a hundred out of a hundred.” These lines reveal that even though Szymborska believes that humanity is extremely flawed the mass majority of us deserve and are worthy of love. Plus the fact that we’re all mortal may seem dark but the fact remains that both the righteous and the sinners will all end up in the same place. The fact that no one can escape

death gives humans equality in a way. Szymborska’s overall opinion of humanity turned out to be more optimistic after all.
