The third one. Slope is -1 bc the other equation slope is -1 and slope is the same in parallel equations
X is -1 so go right and Down one bc slope is -1. Now ur at 0,4.
That is y intercept. We already know that slope is -1 so now we have:
y=-x+4

The equation that could be used to solve for x is (3x-1) = 140 and the value of x is 47°.

According to the question,

We have the following information:

We have two lines that are intersecting each other at a point. The angles made on this point are given.

Now, we know that these two angles are vertically opposite angles. And we also know that vertically opposite angles are equal.

So, we will have the following equation:

3x-1 = 140

Now, we can easily find the value of x from this equation:

Adding 1 on both sides of the equation:

3x = 140+1

3x = 141

Dividing by 3 on both sides:

x = 141/3

x = 47°

Hence, the equation that could be used to solve for x is (3x-1) = 140 and the value of x is 47°.

Find the value of x. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.
skad [1K]

Answer:

x = 9.7

Step-by-step explanation:

Reference angle (θ) = 68°

Opposite = 24

Adjacent = x

Apply, the trigonometric function, TOA which is:

tan (/theta) = \frac{Opp}{Adj}

Plug in the values

tan 68 = \frac{24}{x}

Multiply both sides by x

x*tan 68 = 24

Divide both sides by tan 68

x = \frac{24}{tan 68}

x = 9.69662942

x = 9.7 (nearest tenth)
