Jim and his friends are going to the Del Mar Fair and find they have two ticket options. In one option each person could buy an

admission ticket for $5 and then pay $0.25 for each ride. The other option is to buy an admission ticket for $2 and then pay $0.75 a ride. What do you think Jim should do?

Step-by-step explanation:

let the cost of the options be y

since they are two already we can model the cost as

For the first ticket option

y=5+0.25(2)

y=5+0.5

y=$5.5

For the second ticket option

y=2+0.75(2)

y=2+1.5

y=$3.5

They should go for the second ticket option since it is $2 less than the first option
