Okay. For this question, basically all you have to do is plug in the domain values for x and solve from there. I'll help you with the first 3.

So 3/2 is equivalent to 1.5. A negative times a positive is a negative. -8 * 1.5 is -12. -12 + 4 is -8. That makes the ordered pair (-8, -8). To -4, -4 * 1.5 is -6. -6 + 4 is -2. That makes the ordered pair (-4, -2). Now to -2, -2 * 1.5 is -3. -3 + 4 is 1. That makes (-2, 1). If you solve for the other 3 values correctly, you other ordered pairs are (0, 4), (2, 7), and (4, 10). When graphed, the points should be plotted as shown in the attatchment.

A box of stuffing costs $1.99 for 16 oz. Find the unit cost, round to the nearest hundredth.
Misha Larkins [42]

The given ratio is:

\frac{\text{ \$1.99}}{16oz}

To find the unit cost per ounce, we can use proportions as follows:

\frac{\text{ \$1.99}}{16oz}=\frac{x}{1oz}

Now, solve for x:

\begin{gathered} x=\frac{1oz\cdot\text{ \$1.99}}{16oz} \\ x=0.12 \end{gathered}

The cost per ounce (unit cost) is then $0.12/oz

The area of a rectangular wall of a barn is 85 square feet. Its length is 12 feet longer than the width. Find the length and wid
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

Length = 17 feet, Width = 5 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The area of a rectangular wall of a barn is 85 square feet.

Its length is 12 feet longer than the width.

Question asked:

Find the length and width of the wall of the barn.

Solution:

Let width of a rectangular wall of a barn = x

<u>As length is 12 feet longer than the width.</u>

Length of a rectangular wall of a barn = 12+x

As we know:

Area\ of\ rectangle=length\times breadth

85=(12+x)x\\\\85=12x+x^{2} \\

Subtracting both sides by 85

x^{2} +12x-85=0\\x^{2} +17x-5x-85=0\\Taking\ common\\x+(x+17)-5x(x+17)=0\\(x+17)(x-5)=0\\x+17=0, x-5=0\\x=-17,x=5

As width can never be in negative, hence  width of a rectangular wall of a barn = x = 5 feet

Length of a rectangular wall of a barn = 12+x=12+5=17\ feet

Therefore, length and width of the wall of the barn is 17 feet and 5 feet respectively.

marta [7]

Answer: 150%

Step-by-step explanation:

A store buys a television for $120.

The store then sells the television for $300.

The makeup is the amount they increased the cost price by to get to the selling price.

= 300 - 120

= $180

In percentage terms it is:

= 180/120 * 100%

= 150%
