Ok so you have a equation already solved for a single variable which in this case is y. So just take 6x+2 and sub it in for all the y's in 3y-18x=12 3(6x+2)-18x=12. Now distribute the 3 to get 18x+6-18x=12. Next combine like terms to get 6=12 Now because we cant do anything else and our variable is canceled out and the equality of 6=12 is false the solution to this SoE would be No Solution.

The FDA recommends that women who are pregnant avoid eating more than three 6.00 oz servings of bluefish per month because of th
kirza4 [7]

Answer:

5,562 x 10^{-6}

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Firts, we need to find the maximum recommended amount of bluefish per month. Since the FDA recommends 3 servings of 6.00 oz each, the maximum amount would be:

the maximum amount of bluefish per month = 3 * 6.00 oz = 18.00 oz

  • Since bluefish contains 0.309 ppm of mercury per 1x10^{6} oz of fish, then:

0.309 oz mercury --------> 1x10^{6} oz of fish

How many (y) --------> 18.00 oz of fish

y = \frac{18.00 oz of fish * 0.309 oz of mercury}{1 x 10^{6} oz of fish }  = 0.000005562 = 5.562 x 10^{-6} oz mercury

URGENT!!! please help me with these two problems, and solve with statement-reasoning. Thank you!!!
iren [92.7K]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

By definition the median of the triangle bisects the base of the isosceles triangle.

We need to prove that the 2 triangles formed by the median are congruent.

If the 2 triangles are ABD and ACD where BD is the median and < ABC is the angle from which BD is drawn.

BD = BD ( the common side)

AD = DC ( because BD is the median).

AB = AC ( because ABC is an isosceles triangle).

So Triangles ABD and ACD are congruent by SSS.

Therefore m < ABD = m < CBD, so BD is the bisector of < ABC.

To prove BD is also the altitude:

Triangles ABD and CBD are congruent as we have just proven. Therefore the

of measure of the base angle ABD = m < CBD . Also they are adjacent angles ( on the same line) so they add up to 180.

Therefore angles ABD and CBD are both right angles and BD is the altitude of triangle ABC.
