With the growth of industrialization, many countries in
Europe experience an increase of wealth.
This also led to competition among European countries. They saw a need to protect their interest and
with that they began to strengthen their military and this led to formation of
alliances. As competition became more
intense it affected political affairs as well which later lead to war.
Ellis Island was the hub for millions of immigrants coming into the United States. Ellis Island functioned as the the first stop for immigrants coming into the United States from 1892 until 1954. Ellis Island now serves as a museum of the long immigrant history of the United States.

Estates General was the common estate of three estates - First estate (clergy), Second estate (nobility) and Third estate ( commoners). Before the Estates General the three estates were rigidly divided and their interests were antagonistic to each other. The absolute monarchy and economic crises brought them under one common platform i.e Estates General. Here they began to shun the separate estates and fought for a common cause. Estates General paved the way for national assembly and ultimately united France under one national identity.
