If f and g are differentiable functions for all real values of x such that f(1) = 4, g(1) = 3, f '(3) = −5, f '(1) = −4, g '(1)

= −3, g '(3) = 2, then find h '(1) if h(x)= f(x)/g(x)

H(x) = f(x)/g(x)

Use the quotient rule.

h '(x) = [g(x) f '(x) - f(x) g '(x)] / [g(x)]^2

=> h '(1) = [g(1) f '(1) - f(1) g '(1)] / [(g(1) ] ^2

h '(1) = [ 3*(-4) - 4*(-3)] / (3)^2 = [-12 + 12] / 9 = 0

Answer:

c. -17

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the function f(x) = -2t^2 + 1 and we need to solve for x if f(-3).

Substitute the x in the function with the x in the equation :

f(-3) = -2(-3)^2 + 1

Solve for the answer :

f(-3) = -2(9) + 1

f(-3) = -18 + 1

f(-3) = -17

Therefore, c. -17 is the answer.

Your plant runs two assembly lines. The first line produces 1,250 units a day and the second produces 2,825 units a day. What is
Step2247 [10]

Answer:

\frac{50}{113}

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio is simply the division of one by another (and simplification).

Hence, <u>the ratio of production of the first line to the second line</u> is 1250 divided by 2825. So,

Ratio = \frac{1250}{2825}=\frac{50}{113}

Ella collects 50 bottles to recycle. Of the bottles she collects, 19 are plastic and the rest are glass.
nekit [7.7K]
QUESTION A

The total number of bottles Ella collected is
50

The number of bottles that are plastic is

19

The percentage of bottles that are plastic is

=  \frac{number \: of \: plastic \: bottles}{total \: number \: of \: bottes}  \times 100\%

=  \frac{19}{50}  \times 100\%

= 19 \times 2\%
= 38\%

Therefore 38% of the bottles are plastic.

QUESTION B

The total number of bottles that are glass is
50 - 19 = 31

The total number of bottles Ella collected is
50

The percentage of bottles that is glass is
=  \frac{number \: of \: glass \: bottles}{total \: number \: of \: bottles}  \times 100\%

=  \frac{31}{50}  \times 100\%

= 31 \times 2\%
= 62\%

Therefore 62% of the bottles are glass
