Answer:

The king left his castle with 44 silver coins.

Step-by-step explanation:

A king left his castle with a bag of silver coins and he gave his coins to 3 peasants in an order. Finally he went home with two coins left.

To solve this question we calculate it in reverse order.

Finally the king has in his bag = 2 coins

Before it he met third peasant king had =

= (2+2) × 2

= 4×2 = 8

Before the king met third peasant, he had 8 coins.

Before he met Second peasant king had :

= (8+2) × 2

= 10 × 2 = 20

Before he met second peasant king had 20 coins.

Before he met first peasant he had :

= (20+ 2) × 2

= 22 × 2 = 44

Before King met first peasant he had 44 silver coins.

Factor the expression 5x + 10
fredd [130]

Answer:

5(x+2)

Step-by-step explanation:

When factoring, always use the greatest common factor (GCF) method first. 5x and 10 have a GCF of 5, so this is applicable. Divide each factor by 5:

(5x)/5=x

10/5=2

Now, factor 5 out of 5x+10:

5(x+2)

A relative frequency table is made from data in a frequency table.
Yuki888 [10]

Answer:

The value of g in the relative frequency table is 33%.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following information; A 4-column table with 3 rows. The first column has no label with entries likes A, B, total. The second column is labeled C with entries 20%, 32%, 51%. The third column is labeled D with entries g, 16%, 49%. The fourth column is labeled total with entries 53%, 47%, 100%.

Representing the above information in tabular form, we get;

                       C                  D                Total

       A            20%               g                 53%

       B             31%              16%              47%

     Total         51%              49%             100%

Now, after seeing the whole table, it is clear that value of g is given by;

                  20% + g = 53%

                    g = 53% - 20%

                    g = 33%

Hence, the value of g in the relative frequency table is 33%.

Is the set of real numbers closed under addition? Explain why or why not. If it is not closed, give an example
kicyunya [14]

Answer: Yes, the set of real numbers is closed under addition.

Explanation:

Let x and y be two real numbers. Their sum x+y is some other real number. This is what it means when we say the set of real numbers is closed under addition. Taking any two numbers and adding them will get us some other real number.

There is no way to have x+y be nonreal while x,y are both real.
