Advantages:
- You can make sure you are paid in full
- The patient avoids not knowing how much a treatment will cost them.
- You don't have to deal with handling paperwork / sending bills after the visit.

Disadvantages:
- You need to train your staff how to handle situations in which the patient may not be able to pay at the time of service.
